This listing is for the photographed 1839 British 1 1/2 Pence. Great coin for a collection. Only  760,000 of these silver 1 1/2 pence coins were minted in 1839, making them very scarce today. I am personally surprised that they are not more expensive given their relative rarity.

Struck for colonial use in the colonies of Ceylon and the West Indies (Jamaica, British Guiana and Trinidad) where it was equivalent to 1/4 of a Spanish real.
