This listing is for a 1978 George III Gaming token. These were used in the United Kingdom when gambling for money was illegal. This token was Holed for watch chains. The front of this coin shows a right-facing portrait of George III with lettering in Latin saying, "By the Grace of God." The back of this token has a strike error within the year on the number 7. The lettering abbreviations on the back state "King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the faith, Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Arch-Treasurer and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire."
