The Story

This listing is for the photographed 1973 Colombia 5 Peso Oro Note. Issued by The Bank of the Republic (El Banco De La Republica) on January 1st, 1973. Printed in Bogota, Colombia. This note was printed with a dot date error, as there is a dot printed within the year (1.973), making this a more interesting issue of this series! The obverse of this note depicts a portrait of Jose Maria Cordoba at the right end and a condor bird at the left. The reverse shows the fortress at Cartagena at the center. Very Fine (VF) grade/condition, some folds and other signs of circulation. P#406e (Pick Number 406e).
