This listing is for theย Saint Augustine, Florida, Castillo De San Marcos Tricentennial Token. This location is considered the oldest masonry fort in the us, located off the coast of Matanzas Bay. This token celebrates its 300th anniversary, its Tricentennial celebration! It was originally built to protect St Augustine's trade route, then was transferred from Spanish to British control, but in 1821 it became a military post. Then in 1942, it was designated a national monument, and the original name was restored. Today, you can visit this monument and get a guided tour. Great Find!!!
