This prestigious medal pendant made out of sterling silver features the St. Lawrence Universities shield and emblem of their school reading "Universitas Sancti Lavrenti In No Ebor" meaning St. Lawrence University in New York. The prestigious school was established in 1856 as a Universalist Seminary and college of letters and science. The school would later in 1863 become the oldest coeducational institution in New York State with their first woman graduating: Olympia Brown.
